Hot/Warm Vinyasa Flow
Our Hot Vinyasa Flow is practiced in a heated room at a temperature of 39.5°C (103°F) with our Warm Vinyasa Flow at a temperature of 32°C (90°F). Both classes will assist in warming the body for practice. This dynamic and energizing practice integrates a flowing series of postures to create an internal heat as you increase strength, flexibility, balance and endurance. Emphasis is placed on linking movement with breath as you move through each asana. Our Vinyasa Flow will take you through a vigorous and detoxifying sequence emphasizing conscious breath and fluid movement to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Best for those who are comfortable with basic yoga postures and looking for a strong, healthy sweat.
Warm Gentle Flow
Our Warm Gentle Flow is taught in the flowing style of moving from posture to posture, slowly and gently with the pace of your breath. This class includes foundational postures and allows for a space that is relaxing and settling to your mind, and helps to open your body carefully and mindfully. Suitable for ALL levels.
Good Morning Flow
This class is designed to target those places in the body that might need a little extra space breathed into them after a night's sleep. You will also be invited to set your intention for the day bringing happy thoughts and space to your mind. Start your day off right connecting to your breath through Sun Salutations followed by a series of Vinyasa flows designed to challenge and strengthen your muscles, increase flexibility, and work on balance. A perfect way to start your day! Suitable for ALL levels.

Yin ( heated and non-heated)
This class will open your heart, energize your body and leave you feeling grounded. Yin yoga is a passive style of yoga meant to restore balance and go beyond the muscles. Each pose is meant to target a specific area in your body, allowing you to feel connected in both your body and mind. Yin yoga focuses on gently stretching and rehabilitating the connective tissues that form your joints, while restoring flexibility and balance. Poses are held anywhere from 3-5 minutes in length. By allowing your body to deepen as you move into each pose, you will increase the mobility in your joints, increase your mental focus & improve the flow of energy in your body. Suitable for ALL levels.
Hatha Flow (heated and non-heated)
A balanced combination of sustained poses (Hatha) as well as poses flowing in a mindful progression from one to another. Attention is always given to basic alignment & therapeutic principles. Mindfulness, observing breath and body, is an integral part of class. Classes are balanced with energy, to give you a good physical work-out, and calm, to keep you balanced.Suitable for ALL levels.
Hot Power Flow
Our Hot Power Flow is fitness-based and has many of the same qualities and benefits as our Vinyasa Flow classes, including building internal heat, increased stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as stress reduction. Best for those who are comfortable with basic yoga postures and looking for a strong, healthy sweat.
Hot/Warm Fluid Flow
An invigorating and ever-evolving class that will expand your knowledge of yoga postures and how your body moves. This class has inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, and balancing guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind. Best for those who are comfortable with basic yoga postures and looking for a strong, healthy sweat.
Hot/Warm Core Flow
Our Hot/Warm Core Flow integrates a variety of poses targeted at one goal; tightening and strengthening the core and back. In this class, you will experience a sequence of poses, building heat in the body as it moves. Poses are specific towards core and back strengthening, so you can expect a lot of high and low plank, boat pose, back bends, and side planks!
Pilates Flow (heated and non-heated)
Our Pilates Flow class focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina, while incorporating various yoga poses. In this class, you will be presented with a flow of movements at multiple levels allowing you to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or advanced pace. You will learn to become more aware of your breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of your core. No previous Pilates experience is necessary.
Hot/Warm Detox Flow
Let your breath move you through this detoxifying flow sequence designed to give your digestive system a natural boost. This class will cleanse both your body and clear your mind, leaving you feeling calm and centered. Poses are designed to create space in the body, while aiding in digestion and mental clarity. Paying equal attention to posture and transition, we build an awareness of the energetic and structural benefits of asana.
Spraoi Kids' Yoga
In this unique class, children deepen their understanding of both the physical and mental practices of yoga through games, songs, discussion, and Art. Kids learn multiple poses, beginning to focus on alignment, and building strength and coordination as they practice from week to week. Balance and focus are enhanced through both traditional and “Kid only” poses, and partner/group asanas add additional creativity. Kids get a chance to teach one another and create their own poses and sequences. The mental aspects of yoga are further explored through a weekly art project that follows the theme of each class. The concept of meditation is introduced as a means to calm the body and mind. Winter Series to be announced mid-December!
Teen & Youth Yoga (semi-private classes)
Students will practice pose sequences designed to help them to discover greater strength, flexibility, and comfort in their bodies. As they practice, they will naturally experience greater confidence and self-acceptance. Specific breathing techniques taught in class can come in handy during the school day or at home, whenever there’s a need to calm down and re-energize. Yoga practice can help with learning to regulate mental and emotional states, and in turn relieve stress to promote better focus, clarity, and creativity. Focus will be placed on improving balance, coordination, and concentration, and each class will conclude with a brief guided relaxation, while providing techniques that can be used in daily life to find a sense of calm and well-being whenever needed. No previous yoga experience is necessary. A minimum of four students is required to set up a class at the cost of $12 per student, per session.
Karma classes are a great way to connect with each other for a great cause and to understand the importance of selfless action. All donations received from our karma classes are provided to the Green Wood Coalition; a street-level, charitable organization that uses a community model of caring to walk alongside people living with poverty, mental illness, addiction and other disability in Port Hope. Suitable for ALL levels.
This Level One (beginner's) class is ideal for those who have never tried Tai Chi, or who have practiced it in the past and are interested in a refresher. Lawrence Earl, an instructor with over 23 years of experience, will introduce students to the 108 movements of the Tai Chi set, with the intention of restoring calmness that is often lost through the desires and anxieties of daily life. Allow yourself to be guided by a variety of flowing movements as you learn to relax your body, focus your mind and nurture your breath. The slow, gentle and continuous movements of this beautiful practice will serve as a moving meditation, where you will develop balance and coordination as part of the learning process.
